Blast is a form, a language, a radical exhibition that exploits the conventions and schemes inherited from the imposed 'normality', developing a discourse that deconstructs the patriarchal binary myths of the “West”, the codes that format social and artistic genres.
Blast’s approach attempts to transform war and displacement PTSD into dance, turning the sounds of combat into frenetic rhythms, converting the corporal and sound memory of conflict into a dance, transforming victimisation into a space of empowerment and vindication.
The electronics of Mad Monkey and the voice / performance of Queer Falafel merge in their own style, armed with industrial, dark, violent and danceable, sensual, and poetic sounds.
Textures and polyrhythms play a main role in their compositions, the broken cadences,
the superposition of measures.
Blast's sound defies genres, it is free, daring, without complexes.
